Health Professions Students

Alabama AHECs are committed to expanding the health care workforce, maximizing diversity and facilitating distribution, especially in underserved communities.  We offer support services for health profession students in college and university programs. We encourage students to schedule clinical rotations in Southern Alabama, provide reimbursements for rotation housing or mileage costs, promote the National Health Service Corsp (NHSC) and Nurse Corps programs, and more! Working with colleges, universities, and community partners, AHECs target economically disadvantaged students and those from underrepresented minority groups.
