The Career and Professional Enrichment Program (CAPE) program is a more targeted, health career preparation and promotion program that seeks to grow the next generation of medical professionals to address the health care access issue in the rural and under-served areas by encouraging youth to consider health related careers.
The overall goal of the program is to provide rural and under-served students with an awareness of health careers and soft skills to obtain entrance to health profession programs and entry-level healthcare employment.
The CAPE program will provide:
• Health Career Certification scholarships
• Health Career Presentations/Activities
• ACT Prep
• College Tours
• Job Shadowing
• Resume writing, interviewing, and soft skills training/activities
